Wondrous World Book Day

On the 3rd March, a worldwide event was being held. Everyone at school was celebrating books by dressing up as their favourite characters. The school was filled with a rainbow of countless characters!
Some costumes were creative and some absolutely hilarious! For example, one boy came as a box troll, these are blue skinned animals who wear boxes to protect themselves if in danger. We all think it was fabulous! Other popular characters included: Willy Wonka, Kylo Ren and the Simpsons. There were loads of  amazing costumes, it was hard to pick the best one. In fact, if a picture of the school was taken from a height, then you would see hundreds ( 570 to be exact) of  little colourful dots, quite different to the normal blue and black.
Funnily, some of the teachers dressed up too! Mr Kirby was Gandalf, a wizard with a long grey beard and grey eyes to match it. He was also wearing long draping robes, a hat pointy like a spike and had a magical staff
that was curled at the tip.
A few days before this special event, we received a £1 book token. It can act as a discount off any book or a free book from the World Book Day list! Everyone is searching for a book to spend it on. In the end, it was a successful event!
