Severe Weather Information

Bradbourne Park Pre-school will stay open if at all possible during severe weather such as deep/drifting snow, very high winds, widespread flooding.

We will make every effort to remain open throughout the Winter – however, should we experience such severe conditions that force us to close, these closures will be announced in the following ways:

  • on the front page of our Pre-school website
  • via direct email to all parents and carers
  • on the KCC Kent School Closures website where you can also sign up to receive alerts. http://www.kentclosures.co.uk

Parents have the responsibility of getting children to and from pre-school safely and need to decide if the journey is safe when severe weather affects transport and/or walking conditions. Parents should inform pre-school if their child is absent due to severe conditions making the journey unsafe.

If conditions worsen during the session and we feel for safety reasons that the pre-school should close, parents will be informed by email, telephone and the Kent School Closures website.

If Sevenoaks Primary School has to close due to severe weather, then it is safe to assume Bradbourne Park Pre-school will be closed.
