SPSA (Sevenoaks Primary School Association)
The Sevenoaks Primary School Association (SPSA) is a registered charity set up to advance the education of pupils of the school, by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities at the school not normally provided by the Local Education Authority.
It has two main objectives.
- to foster relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school
- to engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of pupils attending it
Membership is open, and indeed automatic, to parents of present and past pupils, staff, representatives of the school and its associated bodies, and friends of the school. Meetings of the SPSA committee are held two or three times per term and all are welcome to attend. The more the merrier!
What does the SPSA do?
To achieve the aims set out above we need funds and to raise those funds we organise a variety of events throughout the year.
Examples of these are the Summer Fair, Christmas Bazaar, assorted discos, Barn Dance, Quiz Night, Dragon Boat racing, and School Ball.
Oh…and we have an enormous amount of fun doing it!
There is, in our opinion, no better way to get involved with your child’s school life and be able to contribute in such a direct, hands on way. If you would like to join in, or maybe just find out more, then please come along to one of the Committee meetings. You would be very welcome and we always need more help.
And if you don’t want to help the SPSA directly that’s no problem. You can contribute to the School by coming along and enjoying the events that we put on throughout the year!
The SPSA has introduced a new system called Classlist to enable parents to communicate easily with each other. Classlist's system offers high levels of security and privacy and is designed to comply fully with new data protection regulations. An email invitation can be requested from your Class Rep.
More information about this app can be found at www.classlist.com including the Privacy Notice, which explains how personal information is managed and protected.
Event ticket sales and online payments will be managed through Classlist in the future.
