FIRST DAY OF TERM 1. CHILDREN BACK TO SCHOOL

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to Term 6, and our final one in the current building! The next seven weeks will be a once-in-a-lifetime challenge.

There are a wealth of exciting trips, sporting activities, SPSA events and much more to look forward to.

Children and parents will be finding out who their teachers will be next year and meeting them in July. There is also the Open Afternoon on Wednesday 28th June, where the children will be able to show off all the fantastic work they have achieved over the past year.

Our Year 6 children will be on their way to the next stage of their lives at Secondary School following the Leavers’ Assembly on Friday 21st July.

All of this, as well as packing up the entire school to move into our fabulous new building over the summer holidays! I’m sure you will agree that it looks superb from the outside, and I cannot wait to hear the children’s and your thoughts on the interior when you walk through the doors in September.

The purpose of this Newsletter is to give you all the diary dates from now until the children return in September. Please take time to read through them and note those which are relevant to you.

SPSA Own Clothes Day – Friday 23rd June
All children are welcome to come to school dressed in home clothes. The ‘fine’ for doing so is for members of Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 to donate a bottle for the Summer Fair. Key Stage 2 children can donate £2.00

Please note that both participation and contributions are entirely voluntary and that all children should not feel obliged to take part.

All proceeds raised will go directly to the SPSA.

Sevenoaks Primary in Waitrose Green Coin Scheme
We are delighted to inform you that the school has been selected as one of the recipients of green coins at Waitrose, Sevenoaks.

If you happen to be shopping there and are handed some at the register, we would be most grateful if you could choose our school!

A huge thank you to Mrs Wickenden, a parent from 3B, for organising this.

MEET THE TEACHER SESSIONS – DINING HALL
These meetings are designed for parents/carers to meet their child’s new teacher. It is a fantastic opportunity to ask any questions you might have, to hear about what they will be studying, plus any supplementary information that will be useful.
