Basketball Champions

SPS become Kent School Games Basketball Champions

Kent School Games Basketball Final

On Thursday 2nd February, the Sevenoaks Primary School basketball team attended the Kent Schools Games finals, at Medway Park, Gillingham.

There were 14 teams in all from across the county who were divided into two leagues.  SPS played 6 matches in their league of which they won 4 games, drew 1 and lost 1.  This allowed them to go through to the semi-finals.

After a tense start in the semi-final, SPS managed to show their strength and won that match 10 - 6.

The final match, against Medway Howard Primary School, was thrilling with both teams playing with tenacity, neither wanting to concede a goal!

However, SPS came through in the end with a sterling effort from all players in our team and we are very proud of them.  They won the final match 12 - 8 - fantastic!

Our team were: Stefan, Max, Charlie H, Fleur, Lauren, Tom H, Charlie B, Ben and Olivia
