SPS Beetle Drive

This event has been CANCELLED
So what is a Beetle Drive ......?
A beetle drive is a great opportunity for families to get together in a sociable and lively atmosphere for a fun afternoon!
Beetle is a simple game of rolling a die to try and draw a beetle with each body part corresponding to a number on the die. At a ‘Beetle Drive’, this game is played over a number of rounds with four teams of two players (generally parent and child) on each table. The winner of each round is the first team in the hall to draw a complete beetle and this team must shout ‘beetle’ as loud as they can to stop everyone else from playing! At the end of each round, all the teams add up their scores and the highest and lowest scoring teams on each table have to move up or down to the next table. After all the rounds have been completed, the overall winner is the team with the highest total score for all the rounds.
We plan to hold SPS’s first ever Beetle Drive (or at least no-one can remember the last one!) on Saturday 30th January between 3pm and 5.30pm. The rounds will be played in two halves with an interval for the adults to enjoy tea, coffee and a slice of cake and the children a party style tea with soft drinks. The cost of tickets including refreshments will be £5 per person. We hope to see you there!
