World Book Day

World Book Day - Thursday 5th March 2015
Dear Parents/Carers
To help develop a love of reading amongst all our pupils, we want to use this World Book Day (Thursday 5th March) to really celebrate all the brilliant books that they know and enjoy. Please help!
It would be incredible if we could develop a catalogue of book reviews by SPS families for SPS families. This could be a simple ‘What’s it about? Who are the main characters? Who might enjoy this book?’ style review, or you could be more imaginative! Ideas could include:

Reading is something we would love all children to share and enjoy with their families from Year R to Year 6 and, for this reason, there is no stipulation on how much the review is your child’s ‘own work’, just as long as they are involved in the process. Some family friendly prizes will be awarded for especially creative efforts!
To be considered for a prize, please ensure entries are made by Monday 2nd March BUT all contributions will be welcome after this date too! We would love to create an archive of reviews that SPS children and their families can really use to make good reading choices so please take some time to recommend a book for World Book Day.
As with each year, we warmly invite the children to dress up as a characters (or bring in a clue) to help us guess the title of their favourite book.
Many thanks
