Wimbledon 2019
On the 12th July 2019, some lucky pupils and staff from our tennis team
at Sevenoaks Primary, were treated to an extraordinary day trip to
Wimbledon. Everybody going, including Mrs Malone (our Headteacher), could not wait for the
day to arrive from the moment we found out.
Just as everyone had expected, we had a truly astonishing time, and having
court one tickets, meant that we could go pretty much anywhere!
We saw lots of different games including watching the ladies' wheelchair
doubles and seeing Rafael Nadal take on Roger Federer from Henman Hill! We
also had a go on an epic Virtual Reality tennis video game in which Toby
topped the leader board thrashing Venus Williams and even the all-time
favourite, Andy Murray! Before we went home, we were allowed to buy a
souvenir and were spoilt for choice.
After a truly mind-blowing trip to Wimbledon it was time to leave. We were
were sad to go home but couldn't wait to tell our friends and family what a
great time we had experienced.
