Dear Parents and Carers,

Firstly, a very warm welcome back to the new academic year here at Sevenoaks Primary School.

I am really looking forward to a year working together, driving our school forward and continuing to improve our provision. It was lovely to see so many of you today and, of course, the children! We have had two, very successful, Inset days where I have shared my vision for the school moving forward. Part of this vision includes the school grounds and I hope that you can see some developments which have occurred over the summer: please bear with us as these are completed, we hope to have everything finished by the end of this week.

Staff have also worked exceptionally hard to ensure that their learning environments are ready and in line with our new school development aims. The renewed book areas have been a particular focus and I hope that the children are pleased with their vibrant classrooms.

Your support over the past six months has been appreciated and warmly felt. I have already heard some wonderful summer tales and, in whole school assembly today, we talked about Perseverance, our school value focus for this term. As always, the children offered wonderful insights and I will leave you with the quote that we discussed:

We have started the term ready to succeed!

Best wishes, always,
Mrs Malone

Notifying School of Infectious Illness

Due to a pupil’s current health status, it is imperative that parents/carers notify the School Office immediately if your child contracts any infectious illness, such as chicken pox, measles or shingles, etc.  Also, may we remind parents/carers that any medication prescribed for your child e.g. inhalers, Epipens etc., should be returned to school by tomorrow, Thursday 5th September. If you have any queries, please contact the School Office.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

School Uniform Shop

The SPSA has received a large amount of donations over the summer holidays – thank you. The Uniform Shop will be open to purchase all uniform items on Friday 13th September, from 2.45pm to 3.15pm.

Additionally, the Shop will be open tomorrow, Thursday 5th September, from 9.00am to 9.30am, FOR TIES ONLY.

School Dinners

Menus for Term 1 are on the school website Lunch Menus - Sevenoaks Primary School.

Where possible, please use Scopay to pay for dinners. If you have any problems, you are welcome to pay by cheque/cash – please put in an envelope, labelled with your child’s name/class, the amount and reason for payment, and drop into the black Finance Office payments box just inside the doors by the School Office.

Thank you.

Aldi’s Kit for Schools – Health Legacy
