The big pour...
George and Kezia on the 'concrete' case!
Over half term cement mixers rolled into SPS and poured all the concrete for the foundations of the new school. They used 360 cubic meters of concrete which all had to be poured continuously, it took about 3 days to dry. The drainage system has been built under the foundations and at the moment they are marking out the rooms with wood. There are lots of vehicles on the site such as diggers and cranes and we are very excited that a big crane is due to arrive in the next few days.
We interviewed some of the other pupils around school and they said "the school build is going well", "It is very exciting seeing it all change so quickly" and rather optimistically "The building should be done soon"
