Sevenoaks Primary School is committed to the continuous raising of achievement of all our pupils. Regular attendance is critical if our pupils are to be successful and benefit from the opportunities presented to them.

What to do if your child is unable to attend school -

If your child is unwell or unable to attend school, please notify us as soon as possible, preferably by emailing absence@sevenoaks.kent.sch.uk stating your child’s name, class and reason for absence, ideally before 9am on the day of absence.

Alternatively, please telephone the school office (01732 453952) to report the absence, selecting Option 1 on the answer phone.

If a child is very ill they should remain absent from school until they are fully recovered (at least 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea).

We understand that children may also have to attend medical or dental appointments in school time, however, could you please endeavour to make routine dental or medical appointments during the school holidays or after school.

If your child is well enough to return to school, but needs to continue a course of medication, which can only be taken in school hours, please complete a Form 3B ‘Parental agreement for setting to administer medication’ which can be found here
