Curriculum

Curriculum Intent:

At Sevenoaks Primary school our curriculum is designed to inspire and recognise our children and their individual needs. We pride ourselves on our core values and our commitment to these underpinning all aspects of school life including the curriculum. We recognise modern issues and consistently strive to ‘build resilience and lifelong learning’.

We foster Kindness throughout our school, actively celebrating and welcoming differences within our school community. The ability to foster a Love of Learning is underpinned by the teaching of basic skills, knowledge, concepts and values. The children are provided with a curriculum that responds to their needs and focusses on a broad spectrum of skills to inspire Creativity across our school.

We believe in fostering an environment of trust and believe in everyone having the capacity to learn and evolve valuing demonstrations of Perseverance. We constantly provide enhancement opportunities to engage learning and believe that childhood should be a happy, investigative and enquiring time in our lives where there are no limits to curiosity or ceilings on our ability to develop and learn.

Whole school involvement is an essential part of our curriculum as we work as a community Team to consistently evolve our practise alongside all our stakeholders.

Children leave the school with a sense of belonging where they have the confidence, Courage and skills to make decisions, self-evaluate, make connections and become lifelong learners.
