School Road Safety Campaign
Sevenoaks Primary Road Safety Group are proud to be joining other local schools, residents and cycling groups in promoting the '20 is plenty' campaign to make the roads around our school safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
It is a central part of the School mission statement that the children should be safe, healthy and happy. The Road Safety group has been set up in response to growing concerns over increasing levels of traffic around SPS, and the resulting issues to the safety of the children and parents / carers.
"We are all keen to do what we can to improve road safety for our children around our school. Any support of this is welcomed and the 20 is plenty campaign is another way of continuing this work." - Mrs Malone, Headteacher.
SPS is keen to launch a petition, as did St John's Primary School recently, to gather signatures for the 20 is Plenty campaign on Bradbourne Park Road and Bradbourne Road. The petition will be launched at the Summer Fair on 29th July but you can also click on the link below in order to put your signature to this very important initiative.
There will also be a community meeting at St John’s Primary School on Monday 8th July at 7:30pm at which the Kent Manager for the national '20's plenty' campaign group will talk and discuss campaigning for the introduction of 20mph zones in Sevenoaks.
Please come & find us at the Summer Fair for more details of how you can help.
