Hair, Accessories, Hats and Sunglasses
  • Hair is expected to be dressed neatly and appropriately for school for both girls & boys.
  • For health and hygiene reasons, long hair should be tied back in school.
  • Hair accessories should be practical and conform to school colours. They do not include head scarves / bandanas. These may only be worn for verifiable religious purposes.
  • A wide brimmed sun hat is actively encouraged for sunny weather break-times and outdoor PE.
  • A quality pair of sunglasses is permitted for sunny weather break-times and outdoor PE.
  • Nail varnish is not permitted.
  • Make up is not permitted.
  • Tattoos are illegal at primary age and tattoo transfers or similar are not permitted.

Jewellery & Watches

Earrings:
School actively discourages the piercing of ears during the primary school phase.
 
  • Only one pair of small, gold or silver studs is permitted. (No diamante or coloured stones or other designs.)
  • Earrings must be removed for PE. (Only for those children who have just had their ears pierced, will taping of the ear lobe be allowed.)
  • School requests that no earrings are worn to school on PE days; otherwise, a small, named, lidded container will need to be brought into school to hold the earrings during sport.
  • For health and hygiene reasons, school staff will not make personal contact with a pupil’s ears or earrings.
  • No other jewellery is permitted (unless for verifiable religious reasons).
  • Watches must be named.

The Sevenoaks Primary School Uniform policy has been ratified by The Sevenoaks Primary School Governing Body.
 
NB Please name every item of school wear so that lost property may be returned swiftly to its owner.
 
The school tie and a selection of second hand uniform will be available to purchase from the second hand uniform shop which is open in school on the following Monday's from 3pm-4pm.
